Benefits of K-Laser Therapy For Your Pet

Acute pain, chronic pain, arthritis, hot spots, sprains/strains, trauma, CCL injuries, limping, painful mouth, post-surgical incision sites and the list continues on what the K-Laser can treat!  Class IV K-Laser Therapy is an FDA cleared therapeutic treatment that manages pain and inflammation while accelerating tissue regeneration. Laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasm, stiffness and pain.

Drug Free, Surgery Free, Pain Free

K-Laser Class IV therapeutic lasers deliver specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce a photochemical reaction and therapeutic effect.  Physiological effects include increased circulation, reduced inflammation, pain reduction and enhanced tissue healing. Laser therapy has been used in Europe since the 1970s and was cleared by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005.

Studies show Laser Therapy helps reduce pain associated with these common veterinary conditions:

Mechanisms of Action in Animals

During K-Laser Therapy, infrared laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level increasing metabolic activity within the cell.  By improving the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane, the production of cellular energy (ATP) is stimulated.  The cascade of beneficial effects that follows includes increased cellular function and tissue repair.

Wavelength 660nm increases the speed and quality of wound healing and scar tissue regulation

Targets cells in the skin to create healthy tissue that resists pathogens

Wavelength 800nm increases accelerates cellular healing

Targets the enzymes capable of accelerating the healing process

Wavelength 905nm increases cellular oxygen

Targets the hemoglobin to release more oxygen to the tissue

Wavelength 970nm reduces inflamation and increases circulation

Increases blood flow, delivering nutrients and eliminating waste

Laser Therapy Effects

During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area.  This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain.  As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.

Call us at 262-695-6120 to schedule an initial exam with Dr. Anna.

The first exam takes about 30 minutes where we will put together a treatment plan and give your pet their first laser treatment.  Laser treatments last about 8-10 minutes depending on treatment site.
