Pet Vaccinations in Pewaukee
Many diseases that can afflict dogs and cats are avoidable due to scheduled pet vaccinations.
Protect your pet for all stages of their life.
Starting your pet on the correct routine early is one of the most important factors in their long-term survival. Vaccines are special proteins that prepare the immune system to fight specific diseases. They function in two ways: to curb disease severity if they occur or to completely prevent infection.
Why is this important for your pet?
There are numerous illnesses that can affect cats and dogs, but most pets can be protected from the worst of them if they are adequately vaccinated. Parvovirus, distemper, and infectious hepatitis are examples of these in dogs. Panleukopenia, feline herpesvirus, and feline calicivirus are examples of these in cats; protection against feline leukemia virus may also be necessary for outdoor cats.
Call us right now to book an appointment for your pet to receive the vaccines they require. You may even start your pet’s vaccination schedule with us, ensuring that they get future vaccinations as needed.

**Kennel Cough is a term used to describe a respiratory infection that causes a harsh, barking cough in dogs. There are many different bacteria or viruses that can cause Kennel Cough. Bordetella is a bacteria that is known to cause a severe form of Kennel Cough that can lead to pneumonia, or in extreme cases, death. Even if your dog is vaccinated with the Bordetella vaccine, they can still get kennel cough from other bacteria or viruses.
***The FVRCP vaccine, or commonly known as kitty distemper, protects cats against 3 highly contagious and life-threatening feline diseases, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Calicivirus (C), and Feline Panleukopenia (P).
